No beach for this blogger!

This cold has taken off big time … my only view this morning – a bed covered in crumpled tissues … my nose behaving pretty much like Newport’s storm water drain … brain stuffed with cotton wool …

Newport Beach 15 July 2010

The storm water drain yesterday morning ...

So it’s time for a weekend of R&R. What a pity I have to get sick to allow myself time to just sit around …

More blogs next week …

Stay rugged up and get better bb. As you don’t blog Sundays’ I’m not sure whether or not you were well enough to be on the beach for today’s perfect weather and water – clear as a bell, and fortunately for me – a fantastic cure for jetlag!

On the health and the gruesome arthritis front (how could that happen to us – eeeek?!*). Swimming won’t help a cold if it’s made up its mind to take up residence. In fact one friend of mine came down with pneumonia. On the other hand the overall principle of getting stronger should make you more resistant – evenually. Re the arthritis, it’s not the swimming that’s the problem… Blame it on the ‘puter!

I think you’re right about the Arth-ur-itis as Mum used to call it … re the cold, now the resistance is down, it’s going to be hard to get it up again … off on a holiday at the end of the week so hopefully I’ll be fully recovered by my return …

Hope you knocked back a gin and tonic or two for me along with all that fab Asian food while you were away …
